Guest house "De Koperwiek"

In the parsonage garden of d'Oude Pastorie you will find our guest house "De Koperwiek". Unfortunately, it is not accessible for wheelchair users. The guest house has a living room with open kitchen, bathroom and separate toilet, spacious bedroom with space for a baby bed and is fully equipped. Enjoy a cup of tea by the wood-burning stove or the view of our park-like parsonage garden and relax in the sauna (for a fee) and the natural surroundings. We offer sufficient (free) parking and Wi-Fi.

Frequently asked questions

Check-in and check-out

From what time can I check in? Guests are expected between 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM on the day of arrival, later only in consultation. We would like to ask you, if possible, to let us know in advance what time you will arrive approximately. This way we can ensure a warm welcome! In case of delays, you can always reach us by phone or via Whatsapp.

What time do I have to check out at the latest? On the day of departure, you are requested to leave your room before 11:00 AM.

Can I temporarily leave my luggage with you? This is negotiable based on availability. However, we do not have a guarded storage facility. Storing luggage is therefore always at your own risk.

Cancellations and changes

You can cancel free of charge up to 14 days (until noon / 12:00 at the latest) before the check-in date, after that 50% of your reservation amount will be charged to you. We always confirm your cancellation. Cancellation is never fun but because we assume that you do this for a reason, you do not owe us any further costs and we hope to welcome you another time.

Payments

What is included in the price? The prices are per night for 2 persons and possibly a baby younger than 1 year. Final cleaning at €35 is not included.

Can I pay with a credit card? We are small-scale and therefore cannot offer (credit) card facilities. You can pay in advance by bank transfer, via a payment request or cash on site.

When is payment expected? You pay 50% no later than 14 days before the check-in date, you will receive a message about this. You can pay the remaining amount during your stay, at the latest at check-out. Unfortunately, paying at a later time is not possible.

Facilities

Is there WIFI? Yes, WIFI is available.

Can I use the sauna? The sauna can be used in consultation. Use of the sauna costs €15.00 for 3 hours. You can bring your own bathrobe and bath towel or rent them from us for €2.50 p.p.

When is the swimming pool open? The swimming pool opens seasonally. The time at which the water is heated depends on the weather conditions. When the swimming pool is open again, swimming is possible daily between 08:30 and 22:30, provided that no one is inconvenienced. Drinks in a glass in and on the edge of the swimming pool are not permitted.

Where can I rent a bicycle? You can rent bicycles from b! de Firma Dirkx in Reusel, +31497641323 or via the website. Advance reservation is required.

Can I smoke at your place? Smoking is permitted in the outdoor area, smoking is not permitted inside.

The bedroom

How many beds are there? The bedroom is furnished for 2 people. An extra folding bed can be arranged on request. The costs for a third person are €15 per night.

We like to sleep in our own bed, can you move the beds apart? No, unfortunately that is not possible. The bed cannot be moved apart. The bed is made up with two single duvets as standard. If you prefer a double duvet, please let us know when booking.

Visitors, children and pets

Do you have a cot available? Children up to 1 year old are very welcome, there is a camping cot available and a high chair if desired.

Can I bring my pet? No, pets are not allowed.

Can we receive friends and family? Yes, you can receive visitors in "De Koperwiek". If your visitor also wants to use the sauna or the swimming pool, prior consultation is necessary.

Accessibility for disabled people

Is "De Koperwiek" wheelchair accessible or suitable for me if I have difficulty walking? No, our accommodation is not wheelchair accessible. The bedroom is on the 1st floor and the bathroom is on the ground floor. If you cannot walk stairs, "De Koperwiek" is not a suitable accommodation for you. There is no elevator.

Dining options

Is breakfast included? No, breakfast is not served as standard. On request and subject to availability, we can serve breakfast for you for a fee.

What facilities are available in the kitchen? There is a coffee pad machine, kettle, fridge with freezer compartment, induction hob with extractor hood, oven, microwave and air fryer. In addition, there is crockery, cutlery, pans, bowls, towels and washing-up liquid. For your convenience, there is also a dishwasher. We appreciate you using it and hope that you will treat it well and leave it tidy. It is not permitted to use your own electrical appliances without consultation. With the exception of appliances for your personal hygiene or care.

Can we barbecue outside? Yes, there is a small charcoal BBQ ready for you, but please bring your own charcoal and clean the BBQ after use.

Can I have a meal delivered? Yes, this is possible. There are a number of restaurants that deliver in the region, we can advise you on this.

Are there good restaurants in the area? Yes, certainly. There are several restaurants within a radius of 10 kilometers. We are more than happy to recommend some delicious local restaurants. We have tested most of them ourselves!

Is there a supermarket nearby? The nearest supermarket is in Bladel, which is about 4 kilometers away.

Accessibility and the region

Where can I park? There is ample parking for our guests. However, parking is always at your own risk.

Are you accessible by public transport? Unfortunately, we are difficult to reach by public transport.

Do you offer airport transport or other transfers? No, we are not able to provide transport for you. There are several taxi companies active in the region, such as Taxi de Kempen (Casteren) and Taxi Coppens de Mulder (Reusel). Advance reservations are required.

Are you a good base for exploring the rest of the Netherlands? We are located in the south of the Netherlands, near the Belgian border. If you would like to explore cities such as Amsterdam and Rotterdam, you should take into account at least 1 to 2 hours of travel time by car, longer by public transport. Our location is therefore particularly suitable if you want to explore the Kempen or Noord-Brabant.
